Abuja (Sundiata Post) — President Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday, entered into a closed-door with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, apparently in search of a solution to the ongoing feud between the duo of the executive and legislative arms of the government.

Dogara’s closed-door meeting with Buhari, it was understood, would be followed by a meeting between Buhari and the Senate President, Abubakar Bukola Saraki.

It would be recalled that the Senate, last week, refused to consider and approve the list of the 27 Resident Electoral Commissioners (REC) that was sent by Buhari.

The Senate said that it stepped down the confirmation hearings in protest against Buhari’s continued retention of Ibrahim Magu as the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), in spite of the Red Chamber’s refusal to confirm him twice.

Dogara was said he have entered into Buhari’s office some minutes before 12 noon.
