OSOGBO – Dr Goke Adesiyan, an expert in Peace and Conflict Studies, has advised the Federal Government to constitute a conflict resolution panel to seek an end to the incessant clashes between Fulani herdsmen and farmers.
Adesiyan gave the advice on Wednesday in Osogbo in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
He observed that the clashes had taken a dangerous dimension in recent times and should be tackled in order not to heat up the polity. Adesiyan urged the law enforcement agencies to be proactive and check the menace of illegal immigrants who might take advantage of the nation’s porous borders to infiltrate into the country. (NAN)
