Moscow – An explosion at a Russian Military Academy in St Petersburg on Tuesday injured several people, state media reported.
“According to preliminary information, all the victims are officers, “an emergency services source said in comments carried by state news agency TASS. “No students were injured.’’
The explosion, in an administrative building at the AF Mozhaysky Military and Space Academy, was caused by an explosive device without a protective outer shell, the news agency said.
Media reports varied on the number of injured, with some saying three and others saying four.
Military officials are conducting an investigation. (dpa/NAN)
