Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Wikipedia page of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been edited to reflect Adekunle which is part of the name on his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.
At the time of writing, the addition on the Wikipedia page of Tinubu was done five hours ago.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who has been imputing identity theft against the president, had revealed through his lawyer, Kalu Kalu, that the NYSC discharge certificate Tinubu submitted to INEC to aid his election, bears the name ‘Adekunle’ and not Ahmed. It showed also that he served between November 1982 and November 1983 possibly in Oyo State based on the certificate NYSC number, OY/FORN/82/9106.
The appearance of Adekunle has caused a stir on social media as Nigerians wondered at what point did Adekunle change to Ahmed.
The addition of Adekunle in the Wikipedia page of Tinubu appears to be an attempt to douse the curiosity of social media users.
Recall also that earlier today, the Court of Appeal reversed the sack of Mukhtar Umar Yarima, member representing Tarauni Federal Constituency, in the green chamber under the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP.
On August 11th, the election of Mr Yarima was invalidated by the National and State House of Assembly elections petition tribunal in Kano.
The Justice I.P. Chima-led tribunal had declared Mr Yerima ineligible for presenting a forged copy of his primary school certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
It also held that the said primary school, Hausawa Primary School, has disown the certificate tendered by the lawmaker.
However, the appellate court in their ruling on Saturday, disagreed with the tribunal, saying the tribunal had failed to establish a case of forgery.
