Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The police have called on the citizens to report any case of extortion by constabulary personnel, reaffirming its commitment to tackling corruption within its ranks.
Spokesman of the Kano State Command, SP. Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa stated this while parading a constabulary at the command ‘s headquarters, Bompai, Kano.
He said the appeal comes amid growing concerns over alleged misconduct by a constabulary officer, one Ado Abba, extorting money from public.
He explained that CP. Salman Dogs Garba of the Kano State police command has taken measures to fish out the bad elements within the system.
He explained that the officer had been expelled due to several reports of extortion by the general public.
He urged the residents to report any constabulary officer extorting money from the public for appropriate action.
