“Honestly, the invitation has attracted much attention and pressure on me too because a lot of people have been calling me. I think it’s God and my appreciation goes  to the technical crew of the Super Eagles that have invited me,” Eze told Goal.

“I want Nigerians to watch out for me as I’m going to the national team to showcase the stuff I’m made of if I’m given the opportunity to play. It is going to be a huge challenge to contend with Vincent Enyeama, who is a great goalkeeper for Nigeria and he is doing well. But I’m ready to fight for my place. With the chance to play in the Super Eagles, it will really motivate my spirit to do extra and help me to work hard to make sure I get my chance and also showcase myself,” the Enugu born star said.

On his second clean sheet in three games and his side’s home win over Enugu Rangers, Eze credited his impressive performance to coaches and insisted that the Nnewi outfit deserved the hard fought victory.

“I feel great, so happy – it wasn’t easy, you know Rangers is a tough side. I feel specially honoured and excited. As you can see, football is not about big names but about players that are playing it. I know Warri Wolves and Rangers have good players, but I don’t think they are that bigger than us because we have a good squad and also a big team. That’s why I felt confident we can win. To be honest, I’ve been working myself out. I do train hard with the technical crew. Then after that our goalkeeper trainer taps me for extra training everyday.

“I don’t know why, but It is paying off for me now as my coach has been helping me so much as he wants me to be in top form and remain on the top of my game,” he concluded.
