Fans hail Wizkid on expected appearance at Chris Brown tour

Abuja  –  Fans of popular Nigerian music star, Wizkid have congratulated the star on his upcoming appearance at the tour of award winning American music star, Chris Brown scheduled to hold in June.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Chris Brown had announced Wizkid as a special guest on his “One Hell of a Nite’’ tour which is set to hold in Amsterdam.

Jude Akanto, an entrepreneur in Abuja said the star had made his Nigerian fans proud and he wished the star well on the tour.

“Wizkid has really done well so far and he has raised the standards for upcoming Nigerian artists.
I am truly proud of him and I wish him well on this tour,” he said.

Kelechi Kalu, a professional makeup artist, said it was nice to have a talent like Wizkid make waves internationally as he had helped paved the way for foreigners to see the beauty of African music.

“I am really impressed with Wizkid and his music production abilities.

“His music is now popular among foreigners and now they know the beauty of our music,” Kalu said.

Bumi George, a fashion designer, told NAN that Wizkid had shown that he possessed good work ethics by producing good music and she was happy that he was being recognised for it.

“I am happy for Wizkid because he is finally being recognised and rewarded for his hard work.

“It is inspiring to see a young star like him grow and receive international recognition which has granted him a good relationship with a star like Chris Brown.’’

Karen Agbasi, a student of Tudun Wada Secondary School said she was a fan of Wizkid and was happy that he had made an international name for himself.

“I am a big fan of Wizkid and I am happy for him, I am glad he has made a name for himself and is able to mingle with the likes of Chris Brown.

“He recently released a song with Drake who is another big shot in the American music industry and that song is doing really well.

“This year has really been great for Wizkid and I pray he continues to grow,” Agbasi said.

This is not the first time that the two stars are performing together as Wizkid and Brown performed together during Brown’s South African ‘X Tour’, which held in May 2015 confirming a good relationship between the two.

The Nigerian star has had a good year so far as his ‘One Dance’ track which he collaborated with award winning American music stars, Drake and Kyla to produce, is currently the number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Other acts scheduled to perform at the occasion include R&B singer, August Alsina, rappers French Montana and Cassey Veggies and singer Hoody Baby. (NAN)
