The Minister of State for Works, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye, Monday said that the fear of losing Lagos State to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) next year forced Governor Babatunde Fashola to reverse the tuition fees of the Lagos State University (LASU).
Adeyeye, who briefed journalists in his Ise-Ekiti home yesterday, stated that the reversal of the fees from over N300,000 to N25,000 and the planned review of the ban on Okada in the state were an “act of deceit propelled by the fear of an impending rejection by the people in 2015.” [eap_ad_2] Adeyeye, who an aspirant for the PDP ticket for the Ekiti governorship election which held in June, praised the people for voting en masse against the incumbent governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, and electing Ayodele Fayose.
He said the victory had thought the APC a lesson and also proved that the Yorubas would no longer tolerate anti-people policies from any party.
The Minister further mocked APC governors for embarking on “desperate review” of their policies, adding that “Ekiti people can now hold their heads high, having liberated the South-West from the oppression of the APC.”[eap_ad_3]
