Fatal accidents claim 9 in Osun

Osogbo  –   The FRSC in Osun said on Friday that a total of nine persons died in road traffic accidents in the state in February.

The FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Mr Umaru Ibrahim, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Osogbo.

Ibrahim also said the command recorded a total of 17 road traffic crashes across the state in which 111 persons were involved.

He said the accidents left nine people dead and 53 others injured.

The FRSC boss also said the total number of offenders educated by the command was 556.

He further said the command produced no fewer than 865 driver’s license while rallies embarked on were 44.

Ibrahim attributed the accidents in Osun to drivers’ recklessness, overloading as well as excessive speed.

He warned that the FRSC would not spare violators of road traffic rules.(NAN)
