Speaking with the News Agency Nigeria (NAN) at the end of the match, Coach Dairu Aliu of Zuma rock said he was disappointed with the performance of his team.
“I am disappointed with the result of the game because it was a good game for us; we were leading the match in the beginning.
“My players did not play up to my expectation in the second half; Alaba was my hero in the game he gave us what we wanted.
“But I had to remove him in the second half because of his injury.
“We will have only two games to play by that time Alaba is healed from his injury.
“The equalisation of Fire Service is a lesson to take home because their team was not as fit as my team,’’ Aliu said.
Coach Victor Onyemezie of Federal Fire Service, in his remarks, said he was happy with the outcome of the game.
“I am happy because we didn’t lose; we were down on 1-3 on goals but we were able to level up. I pray our next match will be just as ok for us,’’ Victor said.
The first round matches of the FCT league which kicked off on Aug. 27 will end on Oct. 20.
48 teams are participating in the league out of which one will emerge to represent the FCT at the zonal play-offs for qualification into Division 3 of the Nigeria Nation-Wide League. (NAN)
