He said the installation of the new chiefs had brought to an end the chieftaincy crises in the Kwali Area Council.
Mohammed said a committee was set up to work with the people of the area to end the chieftaincy crises.
The minister commended the people of Kwali Area Council for their conduct and said their wishes were respected in the selection of the chiefs.
In her speech, the FCT Minister of State, Chief Olajumoke Akinjide, said during the last political campaign, the people promised the council that the crises of chieftaincy would end before the end of the current administration.
Akinjide said after the last installation in 1997, the communities had been faced with chieftaincy crises.
“Today is a day of promise fulfilled because this will bring to an end the chieftaincy crises in the area,’’ she said.
Akinjide advised the chiefs to make use of their offices for the benefit of the people. (NAN)
