He also urged the cultural organisations in territory to exploit and display their various cultures and traditions that would encourage hard-work and patriotism to strengthen the unique position of Abuja as a true centre of unity.

“Cultural organisations in Abuja are expected to promote such aspects of the culture that encourage hard-work, brotherliness, fairness, fight against bad governance and also promote accelerated development of the capital city.

“Abuja as you all know is our city of unity and is a city that we are very proud of, I implore you to continue to give your very best for the city.

“Try to bring to the city the very rich cultural heritage of the Bwatiye nation,
Which we are fully aware and very proud of,” he said.

The minister said Bwatiye culture had thrived on hard-work, commitment to community development, commitment to brothers and sisters, fearlessness and fight against bad governance.

“This is something we have known our community for a very long time and I think it is something that we need to showcase in Abuja.”

Bello said that Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) would support any effort at ensuring cultural re-birth in the FCT.

Bello said this would be done through the provision of a veritable platform for the showcase of rich cultural, societal and community heritage for people to see and appreciate.

The minister said his administration was open to suggestions and advice from any quarter to assist in taking Abuja to enviable heights.

Earlier in his speech, Mahassei described the minister as an honest and hard-working person that can effectively tackle the challenges facing the territory.
