Abuja-The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Wednesday said it had taken delivery of sensitive materials for Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections.
Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the area, Prof. Jacob Jatau, made this known in Abuja while speaking to journalists.
He said that the materials which were received from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) were ballot papers and result sheets.
He added that card readers for the election had been received earlier and were charged in readiness for the exercise.

According to him, the accreditation machines will be distributed together with the other sensitive materials to the six area councils.
He assured that the card readers would not have any problems, especially in terms of power and network, saying that if there was any problem arising from network, alternative source would be provided.
The area councils in the FCT are Abuja Municipal, Bwari, Abaji, Gwagwalada, Kwali and Kuje. (NAN)
