Augulu-Dobi, former Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, made the pledge when he received school head-teachers from the constituency who paid him a courtesy visit in Dobi.
He charged the teachers to remain united and committed for the benefit of the students and pupils in the area.
“Learning cannot be conducive without unity. Unity must start from the teachers, so let us keep aside our differences for the benefit of the students’’, he said.
Earlier, Hajiya Safiya Tukura, Headmistress, Dobi Primary School, who spoke on behalf of the head teachers, congratulated Angulu-Dobi for his victory and urged him to consider teachers’ welfare as paramount.
“We lack teachers and school infrastructure, among others. So, our case should be tabled before the National Assembly and we believe we will see changes’’, Tukura said. (NAN)
