DUTSE – The Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa on Saturday matriculated 978 students for the 2014/2015 academic session.
Matriculating the students in Dutse, the Vice-Chancellor of the school, Prof Jibrila Amin, said that the Faculty of Agriculture had 147 students, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences had 376, while the Faculty of Science had 455.
Amin said that the university had recorded a lot of achievements since its establishment in 2011.
He said that the Faculty of Medicine had taken off in the university as well as that of Post graduate Studies.
According to him, plans have been concluded to introduce more courses in various faculties of the institutions.
The Vice-Chancellor urged students to abide by the matriculation oath which they swore to and obey the university’s rules and regulations.
Amin warned the new students against getting involved in cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing and other social vices. (NAN)
