ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed sadness and profound shock at the death of former Delta state governor, Chief Felix Ibru.
Atiku Abubakar described the former governor and senator as a gentleman of high standing and a democracy icon who risked his life, properties and personal comfort to fight for the restoration of democracy in Nigeria by standing up to military dictatorship.
In a statement made available to Sundiata Post by his media office in Abuja on Monday, the former Vice President recalled that as a scion of the Ibru family, the late Felix Ibru was an epitome of honesty, decency, philanthropy and entrepreneurship, qualities for which the family is well known, through which they touched the lives of many Nigerians irrespective of tribe and religion.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”70560″]

He added that the late Delta State Governor and Senator fought a good fight in life and won laurels that benefitted many people for which he would be remembered for a long time.
