ILORIN – Mr Ige Babatunde, Chief Engineer, Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) in Kwara, said on Thursday that the agency rehabilitated 30 federal roads in the state from January till date.
Babatunde, who spoke in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin, said most of the roads have been completed, while finishing touches are being given to few others.
According to him, some of the rehabilitated roads include: llorin-Ajaseipo, Gbugbu-Patigi, llorin-Ogbomosho, Kaima-Wawa, among others.[eap_ad_2]
Babatunde said the contractors were executing the projects according to specifications.
He expressed optimism that more federal roads would be rehabilitated in the state as soon as more funds are made available.
Babatunde appealed to the people not to dump refuse inside drainages in order to elongate the lifespan of the roads. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
