Ido-Ekiti (Ekiti state) – Dr Lawrence Ayodele, the Chief Medical Director, Federal Teaching Hospital (FETH), Ido-Ekiti, Ido Osi local government area, Ekiti state, said that 557 staff were promoted in the hospital.
Briefing newsmen on Tuesday, Ayodele said that the promotion, which was for 2015, saw 368 senior staff elevated while those promoted in the junior cadre were 189.
“This negates claims by some faceless petition writers in the hospital that the management, under my administration, embargoed promotion since 2012 when I was first appointed by the Federal Government in acting capacity.
“The alleged financial impropriety and diversion of IGR of the hospital rumour being peddled against me are all lies.
“Every kobo spent on one project or the other was properly documented while award of contracts passed due process.

“Various types of scanning machines of the hospital, including ambulances, are also functioning contrary to the claims of these rumour mongers,’’ he said.
He disclosed that apart from the promotion exercise, all outstanding benefits and allowances due to staff had been cleared, along with both November and December 2015 salaries.
He fingered elements interested in taking over his position as CMD for a second term as those behind series of petitions against his person and office. (NAN)
