Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The federal government is set to hold the much talked about Commercial and Industrial Trade Fair which will begin this Friday 15 – 26th November 2024, at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex, Badagry Expressway.
The Management Complex, headed by the Executive Director (ED), Barr. Vera Ndanusa, in a press briefing called on Nigerians to come out in their numbers to attend the Fair as it provides an opportunity for citizens to shop at a subsidized rate and be exposed to new and innovative products.
Ndanusa also noted that dealers and wholesalers will also have a good deal to purchase products and transport to their respective States.
However, announcing the Trade Fair with the theme: Strengthening Nigeria’s Commercial and Industrial Sector Through Trade and Investment, Ndanusa said that the Fair would be officially declared open by the Vice President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima, GCON.
“The Fair is back at the Complex, after 14 years, and we shall have the honour to host the Vice President for the opening”, she said.
Ndanusa also said that the Fair has been strategically re-engineered in such a way that it would have meaningful and positive effects and outcome for all the stakeholders, particularly for exhibitors and participants.
“We have consolidated efforts to ensure that the Fair at the Complex is a yearly one. A number of big companies that stopped participating in the Fairs because it was moved elsewhere are back and have pledged commitments”.
Ndanusa added that the current economic challenges in the country calls for concerted efforts towards diversifying our nation’s economy, hence, the need to promote made-in-Nigeria Products in the global market to attract foreign exchange deficit.
She emphasized that production holds the key to economic emancipation of the nation, and that the only way is to promote made-in-Nigeria products and diversification of the economy.
