FG Orders Immediate Repair Works On Asaba-Onitsha Highway

(Sundiata Post) – The Minister of Power, Works and Housing Mr Babatunde Fashola has ordered immediate repairs on bad portions of the Asaba-Onitsha highway.

A statement from the minister’s Special Adviser on Communications, Mr Hakeem Bello, says Mr Fashola has directed federal controllers of works in Edo and Delta States to mobilise contractors to begin repairs.

The bad state of the federal highway had resulted in a massive gridlock, causing hardships to motorists and commuters who have called on the government to intervene as soon as possible.

According to the minister the repairs would offer immediate relief and bring about an improved travel experience to motorists.
