The minister said that the country’s railway network, under the colonial administration, took cognisance of the location of coal deposits in the country.
“Anywhere you have coal deposits, you find a rail line not too far from the place because the colonial masters were particularly interested in the exploitation of the coal deposits.
“So, we are also renewing the interest in our coal deposits because of our resolve to generate electricity and promote industrialisation,’’ Sada added. (NAN)
