Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Federal Government in partnership with the Plateau State government has concluded plans to build affordable housing for all its citizens irrespective of social class.
This was fine turned yesterday when the delegation of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) and the Plateau State government from the department of the Housing and Urban Development, signed and dotted the relevant lines.
The Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, who was represented by the Commissioner of Housing and Urban Development Hon. The Commissioner said because of the housing deficit, the Governor put all in place and has partnered with the federal housing authority to ensure the speedy process.
According to him: “The State Government’s representatives also meet with the leader of the delegation of Shelter Afrique, Mrs. Elizabeth Ogonegbu, who is the country regional Representative to help in providing or aiding the developer with one digit interest loan.

“Affordable housing plays a crucial role in improving the lives of individuals and families, fostering social stability, and contributing to the overall well-being of the people.
“The project when completed will curb insecurity, provide employment for the productive unemployed youths that are roaming the streets as well as encouraging communal living”, he said.
