ABUJA – The Federal Government is set inaugurate the Nigeria-Kenya Agribusiness Partnership that would further strengthen agribusiness between both countries.
This is contained in a statement signed on Wednesday in Abuja by Dr Tony Bello, the Senior Technical Adviser, Agribusiness, Office of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
According to the statement, the Minister, Dr Akinwumi Adesina, would lead a delegation of the Nigeria Agribusiness Group (NABG) and officials of the ministry to Kenya for the inauguration of the forum. Kenyan top government functionaries and stakeholders in the nation’s agribusiness sub-sector are expected at the conference, the statement said.
The objectives of the proposed partnership include fixing agricultural value chains, ensuring sustainable supplies, affordable financing, instituting good agricultural practice and instituting the certification of programmes with international recognition. (NAN)[eap_ad_3]
