ABUJA – The Federal Government has agreed to go into partnership with the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy (ICD) in its Youth Education Development project.
The Country Representative of the institute, Mr Dickson Omoregie, made the disclosure in a statement issued on Friday in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Education and Youth Development Department of the Federal Ministry of Youth Development is expected to host ICD in its Youth Education Development project.
The project will be domiciled in the youth ministry because of government partnership, to gain accessibility and easy dissemination of information, Omoregie stated.
In a separate statement, the Director, Education and Youth Development, a spokesperson for the ministry, confirmed the partnership on behalf of the Minister for Youth Development, Mr Akinlabi Olasunkanmi.

The spokesperson stated that he ministry was also ready to co-organise the proposed international conference to launch the programme.
The ICD is an international, non-profit, non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Berlin. Germany.
It was set up to promote global peace and stability through strengthening and supporting intercultural relations at all levels.
Other objectives of the ICD include extending current research, programmes and practices in the field of cultural diplomacy and creating a platform to promote and sustain inter-cultural dialogue at all levels. (NAN)
