FIFA suspension: NFF court case set to be withdrawn

New reports have claimed that the civil suit at the Plateau State High Court, which has caused a lot of problems in the past week, could be withdrawn on Monday.

If this development happens, it could see the Aminu Maigari-led board of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) reinstated and could lead to FIFA lifting its suspension of the country from international football.

“Mrs. [Ebiakpo] Baribote has agreed to withdraw the suit, but is asking for the 15-year ban on her husband to be lifted, and for him to be reinstated as second vice president of the NFF,” reports SL10.[eap_ad_2]

“The suit will most likely be withdrawn on Monday, and Maigari and his board will be reinstated but that will not be the end. This move is only to comply with FIFA’s directive, and get the suspension lifted.”

FIFA’s deadline for Nigeria to reinstate Maigari’s board or face further sanctions is Tuesday, July 15. (DailyPoint)[eap_ad_3]
