
SUVA- Fiji Airways announced on Tuesday the return of 200 cabin crew staff who were laid off during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic when borders were closed down.
This means 200 of the 750 staff that were let go during the pandemic have come back to work for the airline, reported the Fijivillage, a news and sports website based in Fiji
Andre Viljoen, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the airline held a session with the 200 crew members on Tuesday.
The returning employees have been undergoing various stages of training and assessment since May, in preparation for their first flights in the coming weeks, Viljoen said. (Xinhua/NAN)
