A fire outbreak occurred on the morning of Friday, May 16, at the well-known Cue Bar located in the Wuse area of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
The fire reportedly affected the building opposite Zenith Bank on Ademola Adetokunbo Crescent in Wuse 2 around 10:50 a.m.
According to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), its Abuja office received an emergency alert and quickly activated the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) fire service along with a response team.
In a statement, NEMA said, “Preliminary information revealed that the fire originated from a spa within the building and spread to an adjacent facility.”
The agency added that one person was injured in the incident, sustaining a broken limb, and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
NEMA further stated, “The fire was successfully extinguished, and the operation has been concluded.
“The premises have been handed over to the Maitama Division of the Nigeria Police for further security,” the statement added.
