Lagos – Skoolmedia Limited has donated 20 laptops and security gadgets to Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC), Yaba, toward promoting the growth of education through technology, innovation and creativity.
Jadesola Ogundiminegha, Media Manager for Skoolmedia disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Lagos.
Ogundiminegha quoted Moses Imayi, Managing Director, Skoolmedia, as saying that the donation reinforced the firm’s commitment to ensure consistent support for the advancement of knowledge in Nigeria.
“Quality education can only thrive in a safe environment for our kids.
“As part of that commitment, Skoolmedia in partnership with management of Federal Science and Technology College (FSTC), Yaba, conducted a two-day training on best security practices in the 21st century.
“As a follow up to that training and in order to equip them with the right tools, we are donating three patrol bicycles, 10 walkie-talkies, and eight security searchlights.
“Others are 10 raincoats, 10 security batons and 20 security whistles as part of the campaign drive.
“Also as part of our commitment as an organisation to enhance quality education and providing the right tools to be globally competitive, we are also donating 20 laptops to the school,” he said.
Imayi said that Skoolmedia believed that education was pivotal to the growth of any economy and would not relent in offering its services to ensure the momentum was maintained.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Skoolmedia is an ICT solution-based initiative that attempts to redefine the goals of education and transform learning practice to suit the demands of the 21st Century. (NAN)
