Flying Eagles of Nigeria team today arrived Christchurch for their round of 16 game against Germany on Thursday. Manu Garba’s side defeated Hungary 2-0 in their last group game in New Plymouth and will face the Europeans who are yet to be defeated in this competition for a place in the quarter final.
The 28-man delegation, including 18 players and 10 officials, landed in the South Island and will have a feel of the turf on Monday evening. A win for the African youth champions will see them face either Ghana or Mali in the quarter final of the completion which will also be played in at the Christchurch Stadium.
The match with Germany is billed to hold at 8.30am on Thursday.
