Nigeria’s U-20 team recorded a 12-0 win over Lugbe United in a friendly in Abuja on Thursday morning.
First-half braces from Taiwo Awoniyi, Alhassan Ibrahim and Ifeanyi Matthews, coupled with a further goal from Bernard Bulbwa gave Manu Garba’s side a 7-0 lead at the interval.
Further goals from the likes of Bulbwa, as well as Awoniyi and Ibrahim, who completed their hat-tricks, gave the Flying Eagles the morale-boosting victory over the Nigeria Nationwide League side.
Garba used the contest at the Area 3 Sports Ground as part of his team’s preparations for a two-legged friendly against their Moroccan counterparts in Casablanca next week. (kickoffnigeria)
