Forgive erring members, Sugar advises APC national leaders

ABUJA – Rep. Temitope Sugar (APC- Oyo) has advised the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to forgive all erring members of party in order to move the party forward.

He gave the advice in Abuja on Friday in an interview with interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Sugar urged the party to embrace all members and treat them as equals no matter the position they held.

According to him, whatever transpired during the National Assembly elections should be seen as the will of God, saying that it was too early for the party to be having squabbles.

NAN reports that some of the members of the APC have said that the election of key officers of the 8th National Assembly did not go according to the party’s directives.

The elections produced Sen. Olusola Saraki (APC-Kwara) as the President of the Senate and Rep. Yakubu Dogara (APC-Bauchi) as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

“The only thing I will advice is for our national leaders to try to treat everybody who belongs to the APC the same way.

“Whether you’re a senator or whatever and at the same time whosoever might have gone beyond their boundary, the laws, the rules, the guidelines being set in by our party, they should try and forgive.

“They should try to introduce love, God himself is love.

“And whosoever that has done something wrong today might be the best of tomorrow, so they should try and romance everybody.’’
