Former Man United player says club disrespected him

The Frenchman claims his club left him because they thought he wanted to leave and was angered at being asked to train alone and work in the gym. midfielder Paul Pogba has hit out at former employers Manchester United, accusing the club of disrespect.

Pogba’s stint at Old Trafford was never short of controversy, with the Premier giants forced into a legal battle regarding his signing from Le Havre back in 2009.

The Frenchman only made his first Premier League appearance for the club in January 2012 but left for Juventus soon after having failed to agree a new at Old Trafford.

United later claimed that Pogba wanted to move and the now 21-year-old believes the English giants showed him a lack of respect. “They left me out because they said wanted to leave. That is disrespect,” he told the BBC.

“Maybe they didn’t think if they were making a mistake.”

Ferguson had claimed Pogba failed to respect United at the , but the Juve man said he was forced to train away from the playing group as his contract expired.

“Manchester United is a big club but you have to think about yourself,” Pogba added.

“You have to play. The told me there would be space to play, but I wasn’t playing.

“I was training alone for one week. They told me to go in the gym. I said, ‘I am not an athlete, I am a footballer.” (
