Wednesday, urged Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to vote for candidates of their choice.
Grange, former Minister of Health, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
She said the PVC was the only tool the electorate have to enable them to vote and exercise their franchise.
She added that “I and my family members have collected our PVCs and we are ready to vote in the elections.
“We have no other country but Nigeria and we have seen what violence did to other countries and nobody wants that for this nation.
“No country recovers from violence easily, we must try to be violence-free.’’
According to her, people who go into politics should know that they are there to make sacrifices and to serve the people.
“Politicians must control people around them and ensure they shun violence.
“Youths should appreciate non-violence because whatever remains in the country is what they will inherit.’’
The former minister then urged youths to calm down, stressing that Nigeria had great potential in her financial and human resources to go round. NAN)
