OSOGBO – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) convicted 28 road traffic offenders in Osun in May, the Sector Commander, Mr Muhammad Husaini, has said.
Husaini disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Osogbo.
Husaini said the offences committed included refusal to use seat-belts, driving without valid vehicle particulars and driver’s licence.
He said that the offenders were ordered by FRSC mobile courts to pay between N2,000 and N10,000 fine depending on the offence, adding that three offenders were, however, cautioned and discharged.
He advised motorists against violation of traffic rules and regulations and to avoid carnage on highways.
Husaini said that the FRSC would not relent in its effort at enforcing the laws to ensure safety on highways. (NAN)
