Kaduna – Mr Bulus Darwang, an Assistant Corps Marshal, on Friday assumed duty as the new Commandant of Zone 1 of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
The zone comprises Kaduna, Kano, Katsina and Jigawa states.
A statement by the zone’s Public Enlightenment Officer, Mr Solomon Usman, indicated that Darwand would soon begin a familiarization visit to ministries, departments and agencies to solicit support for the corps.
Before his deployment to Kaduna, Darwang was in charge of Zone 6 with headquarters in Portharcourt.
He replaced Mr Victor Nwokolo, who was moved to FRSC Headquaters in Abuja.(NAN)
