Ghana has confirmed submitting a bid to host the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations before the deadline.Having made its intention to host the event public three weeks ago, the Sports Ministry proceeded to work on putting a bid team together.
But nothing was heard from Caf about a Ghana bid submission during last weekend’s Caf meeting in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.[eap_ad_2]
Now, though, supersport.com understands that a bid was handed over to the headquarters of the Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) in Egypt before the deadline expires on September 30.
The west Africans last hosted the Afcon in 2008.
