Abuja- The League Management Company (LMC) on Thursday said it has adjusted the programme for the 2014/15 Glo Premier League Pre-season Tournament in view of the broadcast requirements.
The company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Salihu Abubakar, said in a statement that the adjustment was necessary as all the tournament’s matches would be broadcast live on television.
“All matches of the pre-season tournament, starting on Saturday, Jan. 24, will be broadcast live on television by SuperSport, the official broadcast partners of LMC.

“The tournament will have three games on each Matchday,’’ he said in the statement.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the tournament was earlier slated for Jan. 22 to Feb. 1.
Abubakar said the new development had been duly communicated to all the participating teams.
“We will have a total of five Matchdays with rest days in between, and conclude the tournament on Sunday, Feb. 1,’’ he said.
The top three teams in the 2013/2014 Glo Premier League, namely league champions Kano Pillars FC, runners-up Enyimba International of Aba and third-placed Warri Wolves, are participating in the tournament.
They will be joined by 2014 Federation Cup runners-up Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt, and two national junior teams, the under-23s (the Dream Team) and under-20s (the Flying Eagles).
NAN reports that the tournament is usually organised to prepare clubs in the Glo Premier League for their campaign in the succeeding season’s continental competitions.
