GOMBE – State Government says it will ensure effective collection of internally generated revenue in 2015, to ensure adequate provision of more dividends of democracy to its people.
Alhaji Mohammed Hassan, Commissioner for Finance, stated this while addressing newsmen on the proposed budget of 2015 fiscal year in Gombe.

He said that the government would ensure optimum utilisation of resources within the approved budget.
“In 2015 government will ensure that internally generated revenue are effectively collected and remitted to government to augment the shortfall in federal allocation revenues.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
“All leakages will be blocked and penalties enforced for tax evaders,” he said.
Making a comparative analysis on the recurrent revenues for the two budgets, he said while in 2014 government allocated N6.4 billion for internally generated revenue, the amount was increased to N6.658 in 2015.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
He said that the statutory allocation for 2014 was N35 billion and the same amount was retained in 2015, while the exchange rate gain of N500 million was provided for in both 2014 and 2015.
In a similar vein, a budget augmentation of N1 billion was made in 2014 as against the N500 million in 2015, while N500 million was budgeted for NNPC refund in 214 and in 2015.
According to him, for the excess crude oil and reserve in 2014 is N1.5 billion and the same in 2015, while non oil excess revenue was N2 billion in 2014 as against N1.5 billion in 2015.
The ecological fund of N500 million in 2014 was retained in 2015.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
