Gombe – The Gombe State Government has spent N79 billion on road construction in the last four years, Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo has said.
Dankwambo made the fact known in Gombe on Tuesday while presenting the 2016 Appropriation Bill to the state House of Assembly on Tuesday.
“We constructed a cumulative of over 350km of asphalt roads in the state within the last four years of our administration,’’ he said.
The governor said that the government provided street lights on 51km of roads and built many bridges, including the six-span Kuri bridge, to connect communities.
The governor assured the people that his administration would continue to be responsive to their needs and desires.
He said a lot was achieved during his first tenure in office and urged the legislature to work with him to move the state forward. (NAN)
