…Sympathizes with affected traders

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Governor of Adamawa State, Umaru Fintiri has charged the people of the State to prioritize safety, especially in the dry season, and take utmost caution in handling fire to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Finitiri who also expressed sympathy for the affected traders and the entire community, said he was devastated to hear about the Gombi Grains Market fire disaster.
The Adamawa Governor who stated this via his official X handle account @GovernorAUF.
Sundiata Post recalls that fire outbreak at a grain market in the Gombi area of Adamawa State destroyed 1,900 bags of grain worth millions of naira.
The fire, which gutted 19 shops in the market on Thursday evening, was suspected to have been ignited by a burning cigarette thrown into the bush behind the shops by an unknown person.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, represented by his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, visited the palace of the district head of Gombi, Usman Ibrahim Sarkinfada, to sympathise with him and his subjects Saturday.
The governor prayed that such a disaster would not occur again in the future.
