LORIN (Sundiata Post) – Ahead of the May 29 inauguration in which he will take oath of office for a second tenure, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has approved the immediate dissolution of the State Executive Council.
Also affected by the dissolution are special advisers, senior special assistants, apecial assistants, liaison officers, and youth employment coordinators.
A statement signed by secretary to the state government, Alhaji Sola Isiaka Gold and sent to Sundiata Post, stated that ”similarly, all boards of Government-owned companies, commissions, parastatals, and organisations other than those of statutory status, are also dissolved.”

The statement advised all commissioners to hand over government properties in their custody to their permanent secretaries while heads of other MDAs must handover to the most senior officers in their establishment.
Governor Ahmed won the April 11 governorship election in Kwara State on the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
