LAFIA – Gov.Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State on Friday appointed Alhaji Tukur Ahmed, a veteran journalist, as his Chief Press secretary.
The appointment is contained in a statement signed in Lafia by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Hajiya Zainab Ahmed.
The statement urged the new chief press secretary to use his office to project the government and people of the state.

“Your past track record, dedication and sincerity as well as humane to the public has earn you this appointment,’’ it said.
Born on Oct. 27, 1974, Tukur holds a PGD Diploma in Mass communication From Benue State university, Makurdi.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that until Ahmed’s appointment, he was the Nasarawa State Correspondent of the Blue Print Newspapers.
He had also worked with Leadership Newspaper as the Nasarawa State Correspondent.
