BAUCHI – Barely 24 hours after recovering from COVID-19, Bala Mohammed, Governor of Bauchi State, attended Juma’at service at a mosque where there were over 50 persons.
Mohammed, who wore face mask and hand gloves, sat beside Baba Tela, his deputy, during the weekly Muslim congregational prayer which has been suspended across the country as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The mosque was said to be filled to capacity.
Sundiata Post recalls that Governor Bala Mohammed had taken to Twitter to announce on Thursday that he had recovered from the pandemic after the last tests conduct on him turned out negative.
He was one of the three state governors who earlier tested positive for the virus. The two other governors are Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who has also recovered and Nasir el-Rufai of Kaduna State.
