Yola – Gov. Jibrilla Bindo of Adamawa on Wednesday presented a budget proposal of N120,126,857,430 for the state in 2016 to the state’s House of Assembly.
The governor made the presentation on the floor of the Assembly, saying the figure would take care of both
recurrent and capital expenditures in the state during the year under review.
He said N60,056,234,030 was earmarked for recurrent expenditures, while N60,070,622,400 was for capital expenditures.

He added that the proposed budget was a product of extensive study and consultation with key stakeholders in the state following
estimates designed and articulated against the backdrop of the current economic challenges and realities.
According to him, the proposed budget, christianed “2016 Budget of Social Change”, will accord his administration the opportunity
to transform the state’s economy for the better.
He said the budget would also afford the state government the opportunity to embark on massive infrastructure development. (NAN)
