ENUGU – Gov. Sullivan Chime of Enugu State, has appointed 13 new permanent secretaries to pilot the affairs of the state civil service.

Swearing in the newly appointed officials in Enugu on Thursday, Chime, represented by his deputy, Rev. Ralph Nwoye, described their appointment as `a call to service to the state and humanity in general.’
He said that his administration had zero tolerance for corruption and urged the new appointees to use their wealth of experience to move the state civil service forward.
“This appointment is for you to add value to this administration and the incoming one.
“You must ensure smooth running of the civil service to enable the government succeed,’’ he said.
Speaking on behalf of her colleagues, Mrs May Anayo-Enechukwu, said that she and the other permanent secretaries were committed that the civil service under the incumbent and incoming administration would run smoothly.
“The appointment of the right people into various positions has accelerated the development of the state,” she said. (NAN)
