Gov. El-Rufai appoints 2 new permanent secretaries, advisers

KADUNA – Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State on Friday approved the appointment of two new permanent secretaries and an adviser.

Notice of the approval is contained in a statement signed by the governor’s Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Samuel Aruwan, made available to newsmen in Kaduna.

The statement quoted Aruwan as stating that Mrs Aishatu Mohammed had been appointed as Solicitor-General and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice.

He said Dr Abdulkadir Kassim had been appointed Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, while Mr Musa Sheyin had been appointed the Deputy Chief of Staff (Office of the Deputy Governor).

The statement also listed Mr Uba Sani as Special Adviser, Political Matters and Mr Jimi Adebisi-Lawal as Special Adviser, Investment Promotion.

Others are Mr Mohammed Suleiman as Special Adviser, Legal and Mr Olumuyiwa Adekeye as Special Adviser, Media and Communication and Retired Col. Yakubu Yusuf as Coordinator of “Operation Yaki.’’

Meanwile, Gov.El-Rufai had expressed gratitude to Mr Habila Kyong, the state’s Head of Service, who retired on Friday. (NAN)
