Katsina – Gov. Aminu Masari of Katsina State has inaugurated a 15-member committee on investment and economic summit as part of efforts to diversify the state’s economy.
Inaugurating the committee, Masari said that the action became necessary following the dwindling price of crude oil in the international market which had affected the revenue of the state.
He advised the committee to woo investors to invest in the solid minerals sector of the state.
The term of reference for the committee include review of previous investments and economic summits and asses the level of implementations.
Others are to develop the state investment profile, update the state investment policy package, organise investment and economic summit capable of attracting investors and submit comprehensive report to government.
The chairman of the committee, Alhaji Ibrahim Tukur, commended the governor for giving them the opportunity to serve the state.

He assured that the committee would work hard to achieve the desired goals.
Tukur also called for support and corporation of all government agencies, departments and ministries so that the committee could discharge its duties well. (NAN)
