AKURE – Gov. Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State on Saturday in Akure inaugurated the Peoples
[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]Democratic Party (PDP) presidential and state campaign councils for the state.
Mimiko urged the members to ensure that they delivered the one million votes targeted from the state to the ruling PDP.
“I have the utmost confidence in this team. You all must work together as a team to deliver maximum votes for PDP in the election.
“You need to encourage people to go out and collect their Permanent Voter Cards because it is the electoral power to re-elect President Goodluck Jonathan,” he said.
Responding, the Director General of the campaign council, Mr Tokunbo Modupe, promised not to disappoint the party.
“With the calibre of persons assembled for the job, we are sure to deliver the expected number of votes for PDP in the coming elections,” he said.
Earlier, Ondo State Chairman of PDP, Mr Clement Faboyede urged the team to ensure that every local government area was won by the PDP.
He said the campaign would start on Monday at Idanre, Ifedore and Akure North Local Government areas. (NAN)
