Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Special Adviser to the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, on Intergovernmental Affairs, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Yahaya Kanam has partnered with the Plateau State Microfinance Development Agency (PLASMIDA), on ways to promote ‘The Time is Now’ governmental economic policies through digitalization .
Yahaya-Kanam said Governor Mutfwang is doing a lot in the area of digital economy which entails training and empowerment of the young people, adding that synergizing with PLASMIDA will further promote and actualize the governor’s effort.
The Governor’s Aide stated this on Monday in Jos when he paid a courtesy call to the Director General (DG), PLASMIDA, Bomkam Ali Wuyep in his office.
According to him: “Ministries, departments and Agencies (MDAs), and government policies must be on the same page with the ‘Time is Now ‘ Agenda, We must understand each other. The MDAs must understand what the government is doing, how the Good Governor wants his policies to be actualized for the betterment of the people of our dear state.
“So I am here to share ideas on how we can promote government policies, especially in the areas of e-business infrastructure as well as e-commerce. That is the future.
“I have also had a fruitful discussion on how to promote this government by bringing the MDAs on board through training to appreciate and understand the economic perspective and ideas of the Governor in pushing cum harnessing the state’s resources so that in the nearest future our state will pose as a strong economy within the Nigeria’s context”, he said.
Responding, Wuyep said it was a welcome idea to have the Governor’s Special Adviser partner with the Agency on training and empowerment of the Plateau people.
The DG said that Mutfwang has a policy trust which is the Seven Cap Policy Trust that includes education and human capital development.
“This visit has elaborated on how we can best bring the Governor’s policies to lime light. Also, it will shape some of the activities we will soon be rolling out”, Wuyep said.
