Asaba – Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta has congratulated, Mr Abdulwaheed Odusile, the new President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
This is contained in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Charles Aniagwu, in Asaba on Tuesday.
Okowa charges Odusile to uphold the tenets and ethical standard of the profession.

He urged the NUJ president to ensure professionalism and strict ethical standard in the journalism profession.
“Odusile must take the training and retraining of journalists in the country very seriously.
“This is the only way that professionalism can be restored and to meet best practices,’’ he said.
The governor also congratulated the newly elected NUJ Vice President, Zone C (South-South Zone), Mr Edward Ogude, and other elected officials.
Okowa promised to continue to partner and support the union to achieve its professional goals. (NAN)
